Maine Forest & Logging Museum at Leonard's Mills Historic Settlement

EDUCATIONAL TOURS

The Museum offers tours to schools and other groups from April through October. Volunteer guides in period dress provide information about the settlement and its facilities, and challenge students to imagine what life would have been like at Leonard's Mills in the late 18th Century.

Schools and adult and family organizations from throughout the state participate in these tours, so reservations are required. Information and reservation forms may be obtained from the Museum office. Educational materials, including lessons and reading lists, are also available from the Museum office.

Education is a very important part of our mission, and we need your help to make our program’s offerings a great success. If you or someone you know are interested in helping the museum as a volunteer guide for our educational tours, please contact the Museum office at 207.581.2871 - training is provided. We are also looking for volunteers for our Education Committee. We look forward to hearing from you! Email or call.
